Most direct route
- From Main Street in downtown Chatham
- Turn onto Cross St. (prominent buildings near this intersection are: the Methodist Church and the Chatham Town Offices, located on either side of Cross St.; the intersection is also located across the street from the Eldredge Public Library) - 0.1 mi.
- Take a slight left onto Shattuck Place - 0.2 mi.
Alternate routes to avoid downtown traffic:
1. Heading south toward Chatham via Rt. 28 N
- Heading southwest on Old Harbor Rd. (Rt. 28 north)
- At the traffic circle go straight onto Stage Harbor Rd. - 0.4 mi
- Turn left onto Cross St. - 0.3 mi
- Turn right onto Shattuck Pl. - 0.2 mi
2. Heading east toward Chatham via Rt. 28 S
- Heading east on Main St. in Chatham (Rt. 28 south)
- At the traffic lights take a slight right onto Queen Anne Rd. (CVS pharmacy and Chatham Village Market will be on your right) - 0.2 mi.
- Slight right onto Pond St. (you will pass Oyster Pond beach on your right) - 0.2 mi.

3. Scenic Route
entering Chatham heading south on Rt. 28 N - or - heading east via Rt. 6 E and taking Exit 85 (a.k.a Old Exit 11) toward Chatham, travelling briefly on Rt. 137, turning left onto Pleasant Bay Rd, then turning right onto Orleans Rd. (Rt. 28 N).
- Travel south on Orleans Rd. (Rt. 28 north)
- At the intersection (with a traffic light) of Old Harbor Rd., go straight (leaving Route 28) and head south on Shore Rd. (you will pass the Chatham Fish Pier on your left, Chatham Bars Inn on your right, and many other scenic views) - (1.2 mi.)
- at the end of Shore Rd. (intersection with a stop sign) go straight onto Main St. passing through Chatham's Old Village and coming to the Chatham Lighthouse/Coast Guard Station on your right - (0.5 mi.)
- Keep to the right after passing Chatham Lighthouse, and head west on Bridge St. crossing over the Mitchell River drawbridge - (0.8 mi.)
- At the end of Bridge St. turn right onto Stage Harbor Rd. - (0.6 mi.)
